The Results are In!

The results from the 2011 WV Special Primary Mock Election are in! Morgan Academy results are tied between Jeffrey V. Kessler and Natalie E. Tennant for the Democratic Party. The Morgan Academy winner of the Republican Party is Betty Ireland.

The West Virginia state winner of the Democratic Party is Earl Ray Tomblin. The West Virginia State winner of the Republican Party is Betty Ireland.

Morgan Academy is very grateful to the WV Department of Education for partnering with the Youth Leadership Initiative and the West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office for making this mock election possible. Students and teachers are looking forward to the West Virginia Special General Mock Election in September. This will include the election for Governor and all other local and statewide races.

Election Day!

It’s Election Day at Morgan Academy! Students are casting their votes in the West Virginia Special Primary Mock Election sponsored by Youth Leadership Initiative. The middle school students are serving as election poll workers and helping the younger students cast their votes. We will post our election results tomorrow!
