I am very excited to for the Mad Scientist Camp to begin Monday, June 19!

Snack (There is a snack break each morning around 10:30.)
Lunch (Lunches will not be heated or cooled. Please pack a thermos or cold pack for you kiddos snack and lunch if needed.)

The camp has a water cooler. There will always be enough water for your child to fill his or her water bottle. If your child would like to drink a beverage that is not water, please pack it. Sodas are not permitted.
A lot of creativity will be happening. Please have your child wear clothes that are allowed to be stained or dirty. There will be smocks for the kids to wear, but I cannot promise that clothes will come home clean. 🙂

The new schoolhouse is almost finished and looks fantastic! We are very excited to begin the 2016-2017 school year at the new campus!
McDowell County Book Drive
During our studies of Asia, students learned about Hinduism and Buddhism. The study of the religions lead to discussions about philanthropy. On their own initiative, the entire student body asked if they could create philanthropic projects for the community. In May of 2016, several middle school students wanted to organize a book drive. They researched communities in WV that were in need of books. Through their research, students found Good Life of Gary, WV. They contacted Good Life and began to organize a free book fair for the adults and children of the McDowell County area. I could not be prouder of our students. Hundreds of books have been collected for the book drive! These fantastic young people leave this Tuesday for a three day visit to Good Life to create a library for the community and to host a free book drive. Books will also be delivered to the homes of families that are not able to attend the book fair. Stay tuned for updates and pictures from our trip to McDowell County.
Morgan Academy Launches Preschool Program for 2016.
Open House February 20, 2016 from 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Parents and students are invited to tour Morgan Academy at 3988 Kearneysville Pike on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. You can meet the teachers and learn more about the school’s innovative curriculum and programs. Children can participate in hands-on activities during the Open House and experience a day at the preschool. There are a limited number of openings for the 2016-17 school year.
